Patrick joined the Office team at Cushman & Wakefield Ottawa as a Tenant Leasing Sales Representative in 1999. Patrick spent over twenty years working in the Ottawa High Tech community, in both a sales, management and ownership capacity, with companies such as IBM Canada Ltd., AES Data Ltd. and BridgeTech Systems. Patrick has consistently provided high quality consultative and negotiation services to his clients through his sales career. This background allows Patrick to understand the needs of a growing business and how the successful negotiating of a tenant lease agreement can be a strategic part of an organization’s planning. This concentration on the tenant’s perspective is a growing trend in the industry, one which Patrick continues to nurture for the benefit of his numerous office leasing clients in the National Capital Region.

Current Position

  • Senior Member of the Office Leasing team at Cushman Wakefield Ottawa. Working as a Tenant Leasing Sales Representative since 1999 providing real estate services to private and public sector corporations
  • An experienced negotiator in the Ottawa Commercial Office Real Estate Market specializing in the office leasing market and tenant lease agreements

Three recent examples of successful assignments are as follows:

  •  Represented the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) in relocation their current office premises located at473 Albert Street to a new location that would rebrand the AFN as an embassy in order for the AFN to work with the Canadian Government on a Nation to Nation basis. This mandate was successfully completed in the fall of 2012 and the AFN will be moving into their new headquarters in June of 2013. Their new ten year lease will be 16,000 square feet on the top floor of 55 Metcalfe looking across at Parliament Hill.

 

  •  Represented the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) in amalgamating, renewing and extending their national headquarters lease of 90,000 square feet, through to 2025 at 495 Richmond Road. This transaction took place in 2012.

 

  • Represented the VHA Home and Health Support Group in expanding and renewing their headquarters inOttawa. This transaction of 8,100 square was a ten year lease agreement extending their leased premises until 2023.
