NOTABLE TRANSACTIONS

Paul has arranged commercial facilities transactions on behalf of many distinguished organizations in the public and private sector. Among those, he counts all three levels of government; Federal, Provincial and both the City of Ottawa and former Gloucester in various transactions dating back to the 1980s.

Paul arranged the build-to-suit lease with Stantec (80,000 RSF) at Clyde Ave, Adobe’s original lease at 333 Preston (110,000 RSF). He was NAV Canada’s representative in the relocation of their national headquarters from 77 Metcalfe to 151 Slater in 2022, about 130,000 RSF. Innovative Medicines Canada (13,000 RSF at 55 Metcalfe), National Judicial Institute (14,000 RSF at 275 Slater) and most recently Thales new regional headquarters (130,000 rsf) in Kanata.

Historically, Paul’s large resume of office lease transactions has also included the procurement of land and buildings for office owner-occupier scenarios. For example he completed the sale of the land for the Ottawa Humane Society’s head quarters on Hunt Club West, the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) headquarters purchase on Tremblay Road, and the original head office in downtown Ottawa of the Canadian Red Cross, then at 30 Metcalfe Street.

Specialized multi-use projects, both sale and lease, with a primary office focus, are also transactions Paul has completed; most recently the sale of a 750,000 square foot office training centre and residential complex in Cornwall, formerly operated by Navcan on the shore of the St Lawrence River.
